Incessant complaining has seemingly become part of one's duty as an Eagles fan and I usually try to refrain from joining in on these bash sessions. Nonetheless, that is exactly what I'm going to do upon my return from blogging oblivion.
The Eagles, a team with some glaring concerns on both sides of the ball, make it sound like re-signing a backup safety is the move that will push them to the top of the NFL mountain. To be fair, Quintin Mikell is a fantastic special teams player and quality backup safety, so it was important to retain his services given Brian Dawkins' age, Sean Considine's unproven game, and Michael Lewis' looming exodus from Philadelphia. Furthermore, if Mikell signed elsewhere they would have needed to add two safeties via free agency or the draft. This is the type of move that helps stabilize a roster, but it isn't the marquee move that the Eagles want you to think it is.

It's only been 7 months
I will admit that I haven't exactly kept up with this mediocre blog to this point, but that will now change. With the combine over, free agency looming in two days, and the NFL offseason about to explode, I will be offering daily updates about what is going on and how it affects the Eagles.
